Non-Alcoholic Mocktails
1. Cran-Raspberry Martini
Of course, the Martini! One of the oldest drinks and one of the biggest staples. This cran-raspberry martini is going to be a great addition to any holiday party. These just feel cute in the nice martini glasses!
Makes a single serving:
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of fresh lime juice
½ cup of raspberry flavored sparkling water
A splash of cranberry juice or cranberry juice cocktail
Garnish
Fresh raspberries
You will want to begin by adding all of the juice ingredients to a mixing glass before adding ice. Stir for about 40 seconds before straining the beautiful drink into your martini glass. Add in the fresh raspberries to garnish, either individually or by adding 2-3 to a toothpick and using as a topper.
2. Orange Cranberry Mimosa
Let’s take a nonalcoholic approach to the classic mimosa. A quick-fix and an easy change by substituting the champagne for sparkling apple cider or a sparkling orange energy drink.
Makes a single serving:
Ingredients:
2 ounces Sparkling apple cider or 1 ounce Celsius sparkling orange (caffeine drink)
1 ½ ounces of Bai boost Buka Black Raspberry
1 ½ ounces of Simply orange juice
Garnish
Orange twist
In a champagne flute, add in the Bai Boost and orange juice. Top it off with sparkling apple cider or Celsius sparkling orange. It may take more or less than 2 ounces, so just add it until it hits the top of the glass. Ingredients can change in amounts; it just depends on what you want your mimosa to taste like!
3. Not-So-Hottie Toddy
This Not-So-Hottie Toddy is perfect for a cold evening to curl up on the couch and relax. Not only is it easy to prepare and delicious, but it has a hand full of natural benefits as well: anti-inflammatory effects from the cloves and lemon & excellent source of magnesium, calcium, and vitamin K.
Ingredients:
¼ organic lemon (Wedge)
1 cinnamon stick
3 whole cloves
1 tsp. Local honey
1 mug full of water
Get your favorite glass holiday mug and add in the lemon wedge, cinnamon stick, cloves, and honey. Boil water on the stove and once it has come to a boil, carefully add the water into the cup until full. Cover the cup and allow it to steep for 3-5 minutes allowing all of the ingredients to combine. Give it a good stir and ENJOY!
4. Gingerbread Mocktail
What are the holidays without a little bit of gingerbread?! This is a delicious mocktail that you can make for the whole family!
Makes one serving:
Ingredients:
½ cup heavy cream
6 ounces ginger soda
½ - 1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 tsp. Molasses
1/16 tsp allspice
1/16 tsp cinnamon
⅛ cup crushed gingersnaps
Start by getting a holiday glass (I like a goblet or any round glass) and rim it with half of the molasses and crushed gingersnaps. In a shaker, stir all ingredients together and pour into your glass. YUM!
5. Winter Sangria
Sangria is a fan favorite when it comes to fruity drinks, and this Winter Sangria is no different. It does require a little more prep-work, but it is worth the wait.
This batch will make four 8 oz glasses for the holidays:
Ingredients:
1 sliced orange
1 sliced grapefruit
½ cup of cranberries
8 ounces of pomegranate juice
½ cup of orange juice
1 chai tea bag
1 12-ounce can of grapefruit flavored sparkling water
Garnish:
Anise stars, cinnamon sticks, and fresh cranberries
This drink is going to take a little bit of time to make. You will first want to preheat your oven to 400°F and place your coins of oranges and grapefruit with the cranberries on a baking sheet. Place inside the oven for about 30 minutes, just in time for your cranberries to caramelize.
Boil you pomegranate and orange juice, then pour them over your tea bag. Let that seep for 5-10 minutes and remove the teabag. Add in your caramelized fruit and pop it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight. When serving, pour half of the glass with the sangria mix and the other half with the grapefruit sparkling water. Top it off with the garnishes if desired and enjoy!
6. White Winter Russian
An oldy, but a goody! This drink is perfect for those coffee lovers out there. With simple ingredients, it is also a very easy drink to make.
Makes a single serving:
Ingredients:
2 ounces of strong brewed coffee (Cold brew would be best)
¼ teaspoon of Vanilla extract
⅛ teaspoon peppermint extract
2 ounces of heavy cream
Garnish:
Peppermint stick
Using an old fashioned glass for this drink, begin by filling the glass with ice. You will then add in your cold coffee, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract and stir those ingredients. Add in your heavy cream and stir gently. Add a peppermint stick for garnish or extra peppermint flavor if desired.
